Labour Party of Kenya leader Ababu Namwamba has finally let the cat out of the bag.
The Budalang’i Member of Parliament has spoken for the first time about his party’s agreement with Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party.
The law maker who decamped from ODM recently revealed the details of Uhuru Kenyatta’s promise to him, should the President carry the day on August,8 General Election.
Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday, May 31 2017,Ababu said Uhuru had agreed that Jubilee Party will incorporate Labour Party of Kenya’s agenda should he clinch the Presidency in the forthcoming August,8 polls.
Ababu added that his party, LPK has always been on the forefront in championing the rights of workers and addressing their challenges.
“We want to see him (Uhuru) incorporate the agenda of Labour party in the next government. We believe that workers in this country can be treated better,” Ababu said.
Responding to rumors that he was promised a cabinet slot, Ababu said it was not the right time to share details of LPK and Jubilee Party agreements.
‘’This would not be the best platform to make public any deal Labour party struck with Jubilee. This will be made public at an appropriate time,” Ababu added.
